Service was impeccable. The ladies were efficient, polite and never let us down. Old world Ambiance. Comfy. But the star of the day was the food!!!! Usually the chicken and shrimp get overcooked and tough in these types of dishes, but NO WAY!! Tender and tasty. The shrimp was beyond great. I don't like bell peppers in my food because they overwhelm everything, so I substituted tomatoes. Great call. Come to downtown Waxahachi. It was worth the hour drive for me. I'll be back!!

We've been here twice and were satisfied both times. The steak was the absolute best we've ever had, grilled and seasoned to perfection! I don't usually leave reviews other than a few stars. However, I had to take the time to give props when due! The added bonus of bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp were the icing on the cake.

The food here is always great, whether in Waxahachie or Midlothian location. Service is good as well.

This place is cozy like a dive bar, and has excellent Mexican food, great service and friendly staff. I especially like the steak plate with rice and beans and nopales...soooo good! The nopales is worth ordering as a side to any plate, it's tangy, with a light crunch, sautéed with onions and tomatoes and is just perfect. They also have a fun (new school) jukebox machine, so you can pick your favorite songs while you have a drink and wait for your food to arrive. Overall a chill spot to drop in for a drink from the bar and a hearty meal.

I love the location of this El Mexicano Grill. Downtown Hachie is a fun place to explore and shop. It was pretty packed when we arrived, but we were sat pretty quickly. Someone was leaving the same time we entered and there wasn't anyone waiting in front of us. Our waitress was great and loved the kiddo. She got our order in pretty quick. I think there was another seating area but we sat in the room just inside the front door. Street parking. Not any seating while you wait.

The food was muy excelente!!! Our meal started with the usual suspects; chips and salsa. The salsa was fresh. One was warmed the other room temp/ cold. Both had a nice spice level. I had a fajita steak plate with a cheese enchilada... the enchilada Chile gravy reminded me of nanas!! The steak was tender and juicy! Hubby enjoyed a chicken quesadilla that we took half home because it was huge!! Our server was amazing... friendly, and our drinks never empty. Very attentive. We were seated right away and the restroom was nice and clean. Next time we are in Wacahachie; we will stop in again! Great music entertaining is from the jume box...

This restaurant is so homey. They have decorated the place authentic Mexican style and it's really pretty. It's divided by what seems like a bar & restaurant. The bar has louder music playing. The restaurant is more quiet , you can have a comfortable conversation. Our waitress was very sweet and took very good care of us. She was so patient to our endless questions and my nieces mess. I can't wait to go back one day!
